Crib Goch rescue

-

MOUNTAIN Rescue volunteers were involved in a seven-hour search after being alerted of a man being in difficulty on Crib Goch in Snowdonia on Saturday.

After a team coordinator established his location, having been alerted to lights on the mountain, the Llanberis Mountain Rescue team sprang into action.

But due to the weather conditions, the helicopter was unable to assist, meaning the crew had to reach the man by foot.

After they reached the casualty, he was put in a helmet and harness and roped off the cliffs to safety and taken by Land Rover back to the crew’s base.

The man was not thought to have been hurt.
