Award just what the doctor ordered

● A doctor from Ysbyty Gwynedd has been recognised for his excellence in teaching undergraduate medical students. Anil Mane, a consultant in elderly care at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Eryri in Caernarfon, received the Clinical Teacher of the Year award at this year’s Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Staff Achievement Awards. ● Dr Mane, from Bangor, started his work with the health board two years ago and volunteered to teach the subject of elderly care to the medical students from Cardiff University. ● This year the elderly care consultant was also handed the ‘Student Appreciation Award’ at the Surgam Ceremony at Cardiff University after being recognised by the students he had trained. ● Dr Mane said he was thrilled to receive the award for ‘Clinical Teacher of the Year’.
