Nothing bleak about Midwinter as Bethel find winning touch

KATIE MIDWINTER scored five goals in two matches three days apart as Bethel rediscover­ed the winning habit in the North Wales Women’s Football League.

Midwinter struck three times in her team’s 7-1 thrashing of Bala Town on Sunday.

Ffion Williams and Sioned Phillips were also on the mark twice for the villagers.

Last Friday, Midwinter picked up a pair in Bethel’s 3-2 win over newcomers Rhyl Developmen­t.

Phillips was also on the mark for the Caernarfon­area side, Amy Webster netting both for Rhyl and also missing a penalty. Latest scores:
