Pen sign off with Bay win

MON­DAY’S ac­tion in the Welsh Al­liance League saw Pen­rhyn­deu­draeth end their sea­son on a high when they pipped Treard­dur Bay United 2-1 in Divi­sion One.

Goals from Richard Jones and Meilir Wil­liams se­cured a mid-ta­ble fin­ish for Pen­rhyn.

Nantlle Vale are out of the bot­tom two fol­low­ing a 1-1 home draw with Llan­r­wst United, Rhys Wil­liams equal­is­ing for the hosts.

Llan­beris missed a chance to edge up to fourth when they lost 2-0 at St As­aph City.

In Divi­sion Two, Y Felin­heli took the hon­ours 3-2 at Blae­nau Am­a­teurs.

Gruff John, Iwan Owen and Dy­lan Jones were on tar­get for the visi­tors, Joe Dukes and Car­wyn Jones hit­ting back.

Pen­rhyn­deu­draeth served up a tremen­dous 4-0 re­sult at Barmouth and Dyf­fryn on Satur­day, Meilir Wil­liams (2), Ben Jones and Huw Quaeck shar­ing the goals.

Rhys Wil­liams and Aaron Grif­fiths net­ted as Nantlle Vale claimed an­other good scalp, beat­ing Llan­dudno Al­bion 2-1 at Maes Du­lyn.

Alan Mark Owen (2), Luke Phillips and Jonathan Sadler earned Llan­rug United a 4-2 re­sult at St As­aph.

Iwan Owen’s tre­ble was not enough to save Y Felin­heli from a 4-3 de­feat at Meli­den in Divi­sion Two, but Blae­nau Am­a­teurs fared bet­ter, can­ing Aberf­fraw 6-2 thanks to Gareth Roberts, Iwan Jones, Iwan Grif­fiths, Kieren El­lis, An­drew Roberts and Iolo Thomas with a goal apiece.
