Making SCC cheese for 65 years
TWO long-serving staff at South Caernarfon Creameries (SCC) have been given a pat on the back for reaching employment milestones.
Celebrating 40 years at the Chwilog dairy cooperative is Morgan Owen, who works in the creamery’s cheese department.
Morgan, who lives in nearby Llanarmon, is part of the team that makes SCC’s award-winning Dragon Cheeses.
Also marking an employment landmark is Gareth Parry, from Nefyn, who has clocked up 25 years’ service.
Gareth – affectionately known as Charlie – is based in bulk milk reception and so is the first port of call for milk tankers arriving at the creamery.
Both were last week presented with a token of appreciation by managing director Alan Wyn-Jones.
