Visitors will be able to talk to staff and volunteers about the different types of plants and special areas such as the Chinese garden and the woodland. The greenhouse­s include carnivorou­s plants, orchids, cacti and tropical plants from around the world. Also they will be able to learn about the fascinatin­g history of the site, which in Victorian times was going to become a park, hotel and housing, designed by Sir Joseph Paxton; the plans never came to fruition but some features can still be seen in the grounds. Entry fee £3 (children free). The money raised will go to the NGS charities, including Macmillan, Marie Curie and Hospice UK. BRIDGE CAFE: 3D Jisaw Journey.
