MORRIS DANCING: Open Evening for beginners. Thurs Sept 27 8.30-10pm. Cadi Ha Morris are looking for new members of any gender, aged 16+ to dance or as musicians. We are holding an Open Evening in Coed Mawr Community Centre (behind McDonalds) on Thursday September 27th, 8.30-10pm. Free of charge. No experience or partner needed. Just turn up in loose comfortabl­e clothes and trainers or similar. PLAYFORD DANCING: Caribbean food. Bangor Mayor, Cllr John Wynn Jones, will officially launch Black History Month, and he will be followed by an afternoon of live dance, music, drumming and poetry. There are stalls and exhibition­s to find out informatio­n on black history and forthcomin­g activities. WORLD SHIP SOCIETY: The ‘World Ship Society’ (North Wales Branch), will be holding their monthly meeting at 2pm on Saturday October 13, at, ‘Clwb Hirael Club’, Ambrose Street, Bangor, LL57 1DF. This months presentati­on will be short films of- ‘Shipping items of interest found on the internet’. Anyone with such interests will be welcome to attend, at a cost of £2.50 entrance fee. ST MARY’S CHURCH: 9.30am every Sunday Anglican bilingual service. BEDDGELERT SHORT MAT BOWLS: Every Tuesday evening, from 7-9pm in Beddgelert Community Hall. It’s very informal, everyone is welcome, no experience is needed, bowls are provided, any age can play, and it’s fun! Plus, we usually go for a drink and chat afterwards.
