co-or­di­nated by Race Coun­cil Cymru, will launch this year’s ac­tiv­i­ties in Ban­gor this Satur­day, Septem­ber 29. The event is a col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Race Coun­cil Cymru, Learn­ing Links International, the North Wales Ja­maica So­ci­ety, the Ja­maica-Wales Al­liance and Ban­gor Univer­sity’s African Caribbean So­ci­ety, and is sup­ported by Arts Coun­cil Wales. Tak­ing place in Ban­gor Town Hall, op­po­site the bus sta­tion, there’s a warm wel­come for all to join in with a day of cel­e­bra­tions to recog­nise the con­tri­bu­tions made by peo­ple of African de­scent in Wales. Ev­ery­thing’s free! Bloco Sŵn, sup­ported by Capoeira Mo­cambo, kick off the event at noon by the town clock, with an ex­cit­ing per­for­mance of drum­ming and Brazil­ian mar­tial arts and dance. At 12.30pm, join us in the Town Hall for a taste of African- BRIDGE CAFE: 3D Ji­saw Jour­ney. Free
