Pontio concert to celebrate local talents

-

PONTIO arts and innovation centre is holding a special concert at Theatr Bryn Terfel on Friday, September 28, at 8pm, to celebrate the success of local talents and Gorad restaurant’s new look.

Performing will be Côr Ieuenctid Môn, Gruffydd Wyn Roberts, a former member of the choir and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Aelwyd JMJ at Bangor University and Band Pres Llareggub.

Côr Ieuenctid Môn has now been performing for more than 12 years. It now has over 150 members and three choirs who enjoy singing under the musical direction of the choir.

Following the success of Aelwyd JMJ at the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Llanelwedd this year, they will perform a selection of their programme.

Based on the brass band traditions of the Snowdonia district, you will hear Band Pres Llareggub blowing, shouting, jumping and dancing their way to your hearts by combining genres to provide an energetic and memorable experience.

In addition to the music feast in the theatre, folk singer Meinir Gwilym will be performing at Gorad restaurant before the concert.

This is a free event. Book a table at the restaurant to ensure your place (bwydabar@pontio. co.uk / 01248 383 826). ● A Celebratory Concert will take place on Friday, September 28, at 8pm, at Theatr Bryn Terfel. Tickets: £14/£12 concessions from pontio.co.uk or by phoning 01248 382 828.
