CATHERINE JONES EVANS: Erwenni, 11 New Street, Pwllheli, died on October 15 at her home, aged 75 years. Catherine grew up on New Street, Pwllheli. She attended Pwllheli Grammar School, then went on to study Hotel and Catering at Llandudno. After a time living around Manchester she returned to New Street in 1976/ she loved Wales and the Welsh language. The funeral was on Mondah,October 5, with public service at Bangor Crematoriu­m, officiated by Rosie White. the organist was Christine Edwards. The tribute was by family, son Layth. Bearers were Layla, Sam and Layth. Family mourners were brother Gwynfor, sister-in-law Bea, niece Catrin Mai, nephew Dafydd Gwilym, daughters Layla and Sam, son Layth, grandchild­ren amy and Samuel. Flowers were sent by Gwynfor, Bea and family. Thanks for donations to Cancer Research, which raised £105. Unavoidabl­y absent was niece Josephine. Funeral refreshmen­ts were at Taro Deg, Pwllheli. BANC BWYD PWLLHELI FOODBANK: Thanks to everyone who supported the Coffee Morning on November 24, which raised a total of £450.02. A good time was had by everyone who supported, and the proceeds will be a big help towards the costs of Christmas, to give all customers some extra food items to help with the inevitable increased costs and stress of the festive time. The Foodbank will be pleased to accept donations until December 21, when it closes until December 28. Currently it needs advent calendars and chocolates suitable for all ages.
