CATHER­INE JONES EVANS: Er­wenni, 11 New Street, Pwll­heli, died on Oc­to­ber 15 at her home, aged 75 years. Cather­ine grew up on New Street, Pwll­heli. She at­tended Pwll­heli Gram­mar School, then went on to study Ho­tel and Cater­ing at Llan­dudno. Af­ter a time liv­ing around Manch­ester she re­turned to New Street in 1976/ she loved Wales and the Welsh lan­guage. The fu­neral was on Mon­dah,Oc­to­ber 5, with pub­lic ser­vice at Ban­gor Cre­ma­to­rium, of­fi­ci­ated by Rosie White. the or­gan­ist was Chris­tine Ed­wards. The tribute was by fam­ily, son Layth. Bear­ers were Layla, Sam and Layth. Fam­ily mourn­ers were brother Gwyn­for, sis­ter-in-law Bea, niece Ca­trin Mai, nephew Dafydd Gwilym, daugh­ters Layla and Sam, son Layth, grand­chil­dren amy and Sa­muel. Flow­ers were sent by Gwyn­for, Bea and fam­ily. Thanks for dona­tions to Can­cer Re­search, which raised £105. Un­avoid­ably ab­sent was niece Josephine. Fu­neral re­fresh­ments were at Taro Deg, Pwll­heli. Fu­neral ar­range­ments were by G D Roberts and Son, Chapel of Rest, Pwll­heli. BANC BWYD PWLL­HELI FOOD­BANK: Thanks to ev­ery­one who sup­ported the Cof­fee Morn­ing on Novem­ber 24, which raised a to­tal of £450.02. A good time was had by ev­ery­one who sup­ported, and the pro­ceeds will be a big help to­wards the costs of Christ­mas, to give all cus­tomers some ex­tra food items to help with the in­evitable in­creased costs and stress of the fes­tive time. The Food­bank will be pleased to ac­cept dona­tions un­til De­cem­ber 21, when it closes un­til De­cem­ber 28. Cur­rently it needs ad­vent cal­en­dars and cho­co­lates suitable for all ages.
