BANC BWYD PWLL­HELI FOOD­BANK: Would like thank ev­ery­body who has contributed so gen­er­ously in 2018 and in par­tic­u­lar for Christ­mas. The Food­bank hass been over­whelmed by the gifts of cash, food and toys, Christ­mas meals and warm cloth­ing and blan­kets. It was very busy in 2018, giv­ing out a to­tal of 528 food packs over the year, 64 go­ing out in the week be­fore Christ­mas. Un­for­tu­nately, it seems as if hard­ship will con­tinue for many local peo­ple as the ben­e­fits sys­tem is changed, leav­ing many ben­e­fit claimants with­out in­come as Uni­ver­sal Credit is in­tro­duced. The Food­bank be most grate­ful for any help you can give in 2019. Please note that it is un­able to ac­cept non­per­ish­able items, home cooked foods or med­i­ca­tion. None of this could be achieved with­out the help of the vol­un­teers, who are a vi­tal part of the work of the Food­bank.
