NEFYN PENSIONERS CLUB: A meeting was held on Tuesday, September 3 with Mrs E Poole in the chair. Mrs Poole welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend. Sympathy was extended to Mrs G Rowlands and family in their bereavemen­t. John from the well known duo John and Alun entertaine­d members who joined in the singing. Mrs Poole thanked John for a very enjoyable afternoon. The next meeting will be on Tuesday October 1. members are requested to bring 2 bowls and cutlery for the meal which will be £5.

Jenn lives in Canada and has a strong associatio­n with our local area. Her subject illustrate­s the magical element that can turn a photograph­ic image from blasé to stunning. The club will take a trip to various places in the world including the Canadian Arctic with its amazing variety of terrain and also look at the beauty of Wales in glorious autumn. The meeting will take place at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Penrhyndeu­draeth and entry costs £3 at the door, including light refreshmen­ts.
