ST MICHAELS CHURCH: The Church building is no longer being used, due to structural defects. But the church is although closed, Services are held in the Institute, first Sunday of the month for Cafe Worship, this is a very relaxed Service where the congregation pray together and play together. There is always coffee, tea and biscuits available and also some craft work which ties in with the Service, everyone is most welcome, come along join the fun and bring the Children with you. On the third Sunday of the month is have a conventional Eucharist Service, which again is followed with light refreshments after the Service. But although the Church building is closed there is the upkeep of the Cemetery and grounds to maintain, the grass is cut three times a year and at present the perimeter wall is being repaired, these are very costly items, hence this plea for the village to support in funding this work. Any donation no matter how small will be most welcome, and can be handed to anyone of the congregation or given to Bryn at Wavells or Palo in the Spar.
