BANC BWYD PWLLHELI FOODBANK: Want to say a huge thank you to everyone who contribute­d to the Coffee Morning on September 7, which made £429.25. This amount will be a great help with the inevitable increased costs of the cold weather and to the of seasonal work. The Foodbank is overwhelme­d with the support it receives by way of attendance at Coffee Mornings, donations of cash or food and toiletry items donated to the trolley in ASDA or in St Peters Church

PWLLHELI BLANKETEER­S: provides handmade blankets on the Llyn to those who are in need of warmth. They put blankets together from knitted or crochet squares or strips. Donations of blankets, squares, strips or wool are very welcome and can be left in the basket in St Peter’s Church, Pwllheli. Join the Facebook group or call in at St Peter’s for more informatio­n.

WI: The September meeting took place on Sept 3 at the Ala Road Chapel Vestry, when Dr Michelle Iorworth on behalf of the British Heart Foundation gave a talk on cardiac resuscitat­ion and the use of a defibrilat­or. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sandra Jones and the raffle, donated by Janet Owen, was won by Dilys Williams. The tea hostesses were Elin Rhys Williams and Lydia Jones. The next meeting, on October 1 at 7pm will be addressed by Vanessa Jones of Vanessa Paper Cuts. New members always welcome.
