DANGEROUS DRIVING ARREST AFTER TWO PEOPLE SERIOUSLY INJURED
AWOMAN has been arrested after two people were seriously injured in a “head-on” crash in Gwynedd.
Emergency services were called to the A496, in the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy, at around 10.24pm on Wednesday after a report that a grey Range Rover Evoque had collided head on with a silver Toyota C-Hr.
All four occupants of the Toyota were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment.
The female driver and a male passenger both suffered serious injuries, while the two other occupants suffered suspected minor injuries.
The female driver of the Range Rover Evoque was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision to contact officers as soon as possible.
“We are also keen to speak to anybody who has dashcam footage, or anyone who witnessed a grey Range Rover Evoque being driven on the
A496 between Barmouth and Harlech prior to the incident, between 9.30pm and 10.20pm.
“Anyone who has had any damage caused to their vehicle on the A496 between Barmouth and Harlech between those times is also urged to contact police. I would like to thank those who stopped to help at the scene, and for the patience of motorists whilst we carried out our investigations at the scene.”
