CONFIDENCE WITH COLOUR BY ASSOCIATION
Naturally, not all of us feel comfortable wearing brights.
“I feel like an easy way to kind of get over that fear people have with colour is to acknowledge the things you associate with specific colours,” suggests Shakaila.
“If you associate pinks with playfulness, or yellow with optimism, like the survey found, once you acknowledge those associations with these colours, you kind of get over that hump of saying, ‘Oh, well, I don’t want one [of that kind of clothing]. I don’t want to be too bright. I don’t want to be too out there’.”
