■ If the long winter has caused your rosacea to flare up and you’re feeling self-conscious, Rosalique’s 3-in-1 AntiRedness Miracle Formula (£29.99; rosalique.co.uk) could be the answer. Its luminous green formula looks alarming but the all-in-one skincare and makeup hybrid protects, treats and conceals red and irritated skin.
■ Murad’s new Targeted Wrinkle Corrector, £70, has got us excited on the beauty desk. It’s rather like Polyfilla for crinkles, but there’s more going on deeper down. The key ingredient is acetyl hexapeptide-8, which helps skin spring back from repetitive facial movements while discouraging further expression lines forming. We will be slapping it all over the ‘number11’ between our brows.
■ Whether you are looking to save the planet or just save yourself time in the shower, Garnier Ultimate
Blends No Rinse Conditioner, £6.99, is perfect for you. Not only is it every bit as smoothing and conditioning as the original formula but, as an eco bonus, Garnier has worked out that each tube can save up to 100 litres of water.
■ In versions for him and her, Avon’s new Attraction Game (£12) scent is described by the brand as the UK’s first-ever aphrodisiac fragrance, containing a new “hypnotic accord” proven to trigger feelings of pleasure. How do we know this? Because volunteers underwent fMRI imaging – similar to MRI scanning – which showed hot spots in their brain lighting up when they sniffed it. Apparently, the more you smell it on yourself and your partner, the more your brain recognises the sexy signal. Both scents contain a scrummy, rich, dark chocolate
note at the heart.
