Yes, spring is a good time to give them a boost, just as they are about to start producing flowers.

Ideally you should give them an ericaceous feed as these plants need lower pH to flourish but if you have compost or well-rotted manure this is good as well. Leaf mould is quite acidic so is also suitable for these plants.
