OPEN AFTERNOON ON ENERGY COSTS AND CUTTING BILLS FOR GWYNEDD RESIDENTS

-

WITH energy issues on the minds of families across the country, an information event will be held soon in Tanygrisiau.

The event - which is open to any Gwynedd resident - is being organised by Gwynedd Council, Y Dref Werdd, Nest Wales, City Energy and Menai Heating.

The open afternoon on Friday, 8 April, which will be held at Ysgol Tanygrisiau from 3pm to 7pm, aims to share information about energy and grants available for boilers and home insulation through Nest and ECO and to answer any questions.

The session follows the event scheduled last month but which was postponed due to the effects of the Eunice and Franklin storms.

Carys Fon Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Head of Housing and Property, said:

“With the significant increase in energy bills for households across the country, we are keen to do everything possible to help the people of

Gwynedd and offer advice.

“We are pleased to be hosting the event which will include experts in the field from various partners working in the energy sector. We hope that this event will be an opportunity to offer support and advice to the people of Gwynedd on making the best use of energy.

“So, we are encouraging locals to the area and beyond to come and see us at Tanygrisiau.

“Everyone is welcome.” Assistance will be available to help with energy costs, and local people are being encouraged to talk to the experts about reducing bills, how to heat homes better and how to reduce the carbon footprint.

There will also be an opportunity to swap out bulbs - bring in your old bulbs and replace them with an LED one.
