Flats plan in seaside village is up for sale

LAND with planning for an apartments developmen­t in a seaside village in Gwynedd has gone on the market.

The site opposite the George IV hotel on High Street, Criccieth, has planning in place for a flats developmen­t.

Now the developer has placed the 62,431 sq ft site up for sale with tender bids invited for the land.

Petty Estate Agents, who are handling the sale, said: “The new build developmen­t is for 37 apartments with parking and landscaped areas. It is

a prestigiou­s location with views towards Criccieth Castle and the sea front.

The first phase of the project is proposed as six two-bedroom apartments with the other two phases to follow.

They added: “Planning permission was granted at appeal.

“The consent was granted for 37 residentia­l units.

“A material start has taken place on site which has rendered the planning extant in as much as the entrance and the first block of six units have been set out and confirmed with the local planning authority.”

The closing date for tenders is 12pm on June 10.
