Escape for the day at clay shoot

ONE of the most prestigiou­s events of the St David’s Hospice calendar is back this July, Taking place in the grounds of St David’s College, not only will you be able to enjoy this exclusive venue, on Wednesday, July 5 you can also escape for a day of clay shooting.

You and your team of friends, colleagues or family will take on 10 challengin­g and varying stands run by North Wales Simulated Game Shoot .

Returning guests will have the opportunit­y to increase their score from last year – can you beat the reigning champion of most clays hit?

You will start the day with breakfast before heading out to begin the clay shooting.

On the course you will be able to visit the luxury VIP area for refreshmen­ts and a break, all kindly donated by the event sponsors, Rybrook Land Rover Conwy.

Upon completion of the course, you will be invited to a luxury marquee overlookin­g the grounds, for an evening dinner followed by entertainm­ent, auction, and the award ceremony.

The fully stocked bar will be open until late, so you can dance the night away until your carriages arrive.

The shoot itself is being run by Oliver Foulkes from the North Wales Simulated Game, and his highly experience­d team.

You will need to have your own equipment, gun licence and insurance to attend.

St David’s Hospice Events and Campaigns Manager, Rhian Jacobs said: “This year’s St David’s Clay Pigeon Shoot is going to be the best yet. We have a few surprises to make it extra special.

“Once again, thank you to Oliver and his team for generously providing us with some of the finest simulated clay shooting for this event.

“I will never tire of the views at St David’s College – it really is fitting to be able to host such a prestigiou­s event in an exquisite location.

“We would once again like to extend an invitation to those wishing to join us in the evening.

“After the success of last year, we’re working hard to make this our biggest one yet.”

By supporting this event, you are helping your local hospice provide free specialist end of life care to local people living with life-limiting illnesses in Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

The tickets prices for the event are as follows:

Team Sponsor: £1250 (with an opportunit­y to market your business at the event),

Team Entry: £800 (includes full day of shooting for four people and evening entertainm­ent),

Evening Tickets: £55 (to enjoy dinner with wine and an evening of entertainm­ent)
