Maher return as Canaries make more signings

-

CAERNARFON Town have announced three further signings on the club website as they continue to strengthen for the coming JD Cymru Premier campaign.

“Exciting young talent” Louis Lloyd joins the Canaries from Wrexham

The striker, who is from Llandudno, has been at Shrewsbury and, most recently, at Wrexham and new manager Richard Davies said he fitted his priorities of pace and athleticism: “We’re looking for goals up top and I think Louis can help us in that department.” Ryan Austin from Wrexham. Ryan is a twenty year old six foot five centre half who has been with Wrexham for the past four years, the last two of which have been on a professional contract – he’s expected to give a “much needed presence” in central defence.

Richard Davies says: “I don’t think it’s been a secret that we’ve been searching for a big, strong centre half and Ryan definitely fits the bill.”

Ben Maher returns

“Ben played for the Canaries during our first season back in the Cymru Premier League in 2018 but left in January 2019 in search of more regular football.

“Since then he has enjoyed excellent stints at Prestatyn, Flint and Cefn Druids and has adapted from an attacking player to a midfielder.

“Tenacious in the tackle, and with excellent fitness levels, Ben will be a fine addition to our squad.”

Ben told the club website: “It’s good to be back!

“I get on really well with Richard and having been here before he did not have to sell the club to me.

“I would have liked to have played more when I was first here and so I feel I have a point to prove!”
