Harry’s new home sweet home

-

PRINCE Harry’s transition away from the royal family for a new life is now complete.

Five years after he and his wife Meghan Markle packed their bags in a huff for North America, the Duke of Sussex has now officially given his address as the States.

In paperwork filed to Companies House for his eco-tourism nonprofit, Travalyst, Harry changed his personal details, stating that his “new country/state usually resident” was the United States.

The date the change was made is cited as June 29, 2023, although the paperwork was only made public for the first time last week. The date coincided with Buckingham Palace confirming Harry and Meghan’s lease at Frogmore Cottage had come to an end, leaving them without a permanent base in the UK.

Regular readers will know that although I initially viewed Harry and Meghan positively, their actions and attacks since have left me, like millions of others, sceptical at best of the want-away royals.

However, on this occasion wholeheartedly back Harry providing the US as his home.

Not only is it correct, but despite what he has claimed in his ongoing dispute with the Government about his police protection in n the UK, the prince has made it clear ear Britain is not his home.

Listing America as his is permanent address represents more re than just a bureaucratic formality; y; it symbolises a significant shift ft in Harry’s identity.

The narrative of the couple’s transition is punctuated by various events, including their Oprah Winfrey interview, eviction n from Frogmore Cottage and Harry’s arry’s public criticisms of the Royal Family in his memoir, Spare.

Despite previous assertions, Harry has unabashedly ly embraced America as his new home. me.

In an interview with US network NBC, he stated, “Home for me, now,

I in for the time being, is in the States,” emphasising the warm reception he and Meghan have received in Santa Barbara.

However, while he may have settled in America, parts of America are not settled on him.

Harry finds himself embroiled in a court case over his US visa and revelations in his book regarding g g drug misuse, which typically bars entry into the States.

Pressure mounts on the Biden administration to release the royal’s immigration records, raising questions about his residency eligibility.

A judge now holds the fate of Harry’s visa files, pondering their potential release to the public.

Despite p the criticism and legal challenges, Harry’s decisio decision to list America as his home is his most genuine declaration yet.

His actions align with h his words, affirming his commitment to forging a new path, separate from his royal lineage.

While some may view this th move as a betrayal or abandonment abandonm of his heritage, Harry’s choice refl reflects the autonomy and self-determ self-determination he seeks in his pursuit of happiness. ha

While Harry’s departure departu from the UK and his subsequen subsequent actions have stirred up some con controversy and debate, these moves u ultimately do represent everything every he and his wife, Meghan, have s said they
