KRAFT WITHDRAWS UNILEVER TAKEOVER BID
Kraft Heinz has withdrawn its offer to merge with Unilever after a public rejection from the Anglo-dutch company. In a joint statement on 19 February, Kraft and Unilever announced the withdrawal of the proposal. Daryl Fielding, who worked at Kraft as European vice-president of marketing and partnered Unilever during a spell at Ogilvy & Mather, said the merger would have been “a hell of a culture clash”.
