Agencies line up for Honda Motor Europe creative brief

Honda Motor Europe has opened talks with creative agencies about its advertisin­g requiremen­ts.

The company contacted agencies two weeks ago with a through-the-line brief to cover 22 markets across Europe. It is understood that the brief does not affect the accounts currently handled by Wieden & Kennedy London and Mcgarrybow­en.

W&K created an ad in February to promote the Civic featuring Team GB climber Imogen Horrocks. The agency also works on the Jazz model.

In 2015, Mcgarrybow­en created a spot for the HR-V that showed dancers in a synchronis­ed routine.

Honda appointed Digitaslbi as its pan-european content agency of record in 2016, involving all models.

A Honda spokesman said: “We have no comment to make regarding any pitch process, but we look forward to continuing our long and fruitful relationsh­ip with W&K and Mcgarrybow­en in 2018.”
