Sainsbury’s is poised to award its £115m media account to PHD, four months after M/SIX won the business. PHD and parent company Omnicom Media Group challenged the result of the original review in February.

WPP fell victim to a cyber attack involving a ransomware virus, with staff told to disconnect their computers. A “massive global malware attack” disrupted agencies on 27 June, staff from multiple WPP shops were told.

ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICE RAID HAVAS’ PARIS HQ
Havas’ headquarters in Paris were raided by anti-corruption police last week over an inquiry into a visit by president Emmanuel Macron to CES Las Vegas. The investigation is looking into whether Business France awarded a contract to Havas to organise a party at CES without a bid.

CANNES JURIES SPLIT ON GRAHAM
A Cannes jury dismissed the multi-awardwinning “Meet Graham” campaign by Clemenger BBDO because it reminded them too much of a 1985 anti-smoking ad. The work for the Transport Accident Commission of Victoria, which won two Grands Prix last week, was considered by the Integrated and Titanium judges to be similar to “Natural born smoker” by FCO London.
