The Big Picture
Life imitates art
London got a real-life version of the award-winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, in a call for justice over the Grenfell Tower fire that killed at least 71 people last year. Campaign group Justice 4 grenfell drove the mobile billboards, created by BBH Labs, around London, stopping at locations including the Wall of Truth, near Grenfell Tower, and Parliament. The aim was to keep the disaster fresh in the minds of the public. The stunt drew inspiration from Martin Mcdonagh’s film, in which a woman, played by Oscar-winning Frances Mcdormand, rents three billboards to ignite a police investigation into her daughter’s murder.
