Free football coaching course

A COURSE on Campbeltown’s all weather pitch could be the first step for the next generation of football coaches.

Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association (CDJFA) is hosting a level 1.1 Early Touches course on Sunday November 20 from 10am to 4pm at the 3G AWP Kinloch Green.

SFA/Argyll and Bute Council football development officer Martin Rae will lead the training session which is ideal for anyone wanting to start out or help out with coaching.

CDJFA will meet the cost for anyone who wishes to attend and subsequently helps out.

This six-hour course is open to all interested parties aged 16 and over, experienced or otherwise, who work with children of primary school age.

In addition to delivering new content, the course will assist coaches to develop their coaching technique, focus on skill development and will explore the best age specific activities for developing young players.

A CDJFA spokesman said: ‘Please get involved –it’s a great course to attend and CDJFA are keen to look at the next generation of coaches and volunteers as part of their, and the Community Club’s coaching framework that has been in place since 2012.

If interested in attending please email enquiries@campbeltownfootball.com or text 07785 937845.
