Top prizes on offer at MOK Fest’s Carni-West
TICKETS for this year’s 25th Mull of Kintyre Music Festival (MOK Fest) are now on sale.
The event, which is held on August 16-20, has concerts featuring acts including Peatbog Faeries, Bombskare, The Shee, Heron Valley, Arty McGlynn and Nollaig Casey, Norman MacKinnon, Twisted Melons and The Kintyre Schools Pipe Band.
The weekend is packed full of open-air events, including the parade which this year will is being rebranded as Carni-West.

Doon the Green will feature Cabin Fever, Treble Trouble, Footnotes and Funky Chicken, with more acts to be confirmed.
Also on Saturday August 19, the event will launch the new Festival Club with the CalMac Culture stage in Campbeltown Town Hall with a huge music session and CalMac Culture winners Eriska.
There will also be food and a licensed bar at this event, which runs from 1pm-5.30pm.

The aim is to create a real carnival atmosphere this year and prizes will be given out to the most entertaining entry as well as the best motor vehicle winners, who will be presented with the Festival Cup and Phoenix Shield after the event.
MOK Fest starts on Wednesday August 16 with the Gaelic concert in Ceol Campbeltown and continues with the young folk night on Thursday August 17.
Music tuition workshops will be held in Campbeltown Grammar School on Friday August 18.
As usual, there will be live music inside and outside many bars and hotels across the town.
