Trav­el­ling au­thor talks to Kin­tyre U3A

A Scots au­thor, born into a trav­el­ling fam­ily, gave a talk about her life to the Kin­tyre U3A group. Jess Smith, with her hus­band Dave, vis­ited from Com­rie to speak at the group’s monthly meet­ing. Ms Smith has pub­lished six books, in­clud­ing an au­to­bi­o­graph­i­cal tril­ogy, fo­cus­ing on the ex­pe­ri­ences of Scot­tish trav­ellers. She also co-wrote a book­let on trav­eller di­alects with Robert Daw­son. A U3A spokesper­son said: ‘We all thor­oughly en­joyed it – I think she sold a lot of books.’
