Carols corralled by Kintyre Chorale
A classical accompanist rocked Kintyre Chorale’s carol concert with a church organ rendition of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now. David McEwan diverged from the programme during a night of musical feasts organised by the Chorale and opened by Campbeltown Brass’s selection of Christmas carols. Among many highlights, compered by Carol Harrow was Lindsay Brodie’s perfect solo performance of O Holy Night. Stephanie Mitchell and Lindsay joined the choir for a rousing finale of Angels Sing Glory. The concert sound and recording was by Jamie Girvan and Kenny Ralston and all proceeds went to Kintyre Schools Pipe Band and Campbeltown Brass. Stephanie Mitchell, the conductor of Campbeltown Brass, played a beautiful arrangement of Away in a Manger on the flugelhorn.
