Co-op’s funding swing for Carradale play park

-

A Campbeltown supermarket’s shoppers have swung into action for Carradale Play Park. Last Saturday Co-op’s local causes scheme, collected from one per cent of what members spend on own branded food products, awarded the play park £6,225.18. Back in October 2016 Carradale parents launched a play park appeal to bring its aging equipment into the 21st century. An insurance inspection had deemed the zip wire unsafe. Much of the work had been completed by late this summer but the final groundworks meant the park could not be used. Fundraising team member, Emma Macalister Hall said: ‘We needed money for some matting and hope get it down during Christmas and open early next year.’
