Pupils’ ham­per raf­fle helps raise vi­tal funds for Kin­tyre food­bank

A Kin­tyre Larder ham­per raf­fled by a Gram­mar School learn­ing group has boosted food­bank funds. Mr Grady of Knockscal­bert Way won the ham­per of Christ­mas good­ies in a raf­fle or­gan­ised by En­ter­prise pupils, which raised £115 for Kin­tyre Food­bank. The win­ning ticket was drawn by his­tory teacher Miss Rigney, with S4 En­ter­prise pupils look­ing on. En­ter­prise and vo­ca­tion teacher Ron Wil­son said: ‘I would like to thank the pub­lic who pur­chased the raf­fle tick­ets, the shops for sell­ing them on our be­half and Kin­tyre Larder for sup­ply­ing the food ham­per. ‘Christ­mas can be a dif­fi­cult time for fam­i­lies and it’s re­ally re­ward­ing for our pupils to be help­ing Kin­tyre Food­bank.’
