Pupils’ hamper raffle helps raise vital funds for Kintyre foodbank
A Kintyre Larder hamper raffled by a Grammar School learning group has boosted foodbank funds. Mr Grady of Knockscalbert Way won the hamper of Christmas goodies in a raffle organised by Enterprise pupils, which raised £115 for Kintyre Foodbank. The winning ticket was drawn by history teacher Miss Rigney, with S4 Enterprise pupils looking on. Enterprise and vocation teacher Ron Wilson said: ‘I would like to thank the public who purchased the raffle tickets, the shops for selling them on our behalf and Kintyre Larder for supplying the food hamper. ‘Christmas can be a difficult time for families and it’s really rewarding for our pupils to be helping Kintyre Foodbank.’
