Kintyre is helping to stamp out leprosy
Sir, I would like to thank the people of Campbeltown and surrounding areas who have supported me in my work for the Leprosy Mission by saving their used stamps for me to collect.
Several businesses have given me theirs for years but after an article about my work in the Courier in September, more people are putting them aside for me. All you have to do is keep a hold of any letters with stamps on them and I will cut them out and send them to the Leprosy Mission, which raises funds by selling small items including stamps. I have supported the Leprosy Mission’s work for about 20 years and in that time I have seen hospitals built as a result of these donations. If anyone would like to help, there are collection boxes in George McMillan’s and Boots. Joyce Draper, Campbeltown.
