Make 2019 the year for your Child's eye sight. It is particularly important in the early years as it enables them to find out about the world around them, about their environment and friends. At school their eyesight lets them learn and discover. Did you know that 80% of what is taught in schools is presented visually. Being able to see clearly is therefore paramount in a child’s overall development. Many parents do not realise that eyesight can be tested from a very early age and that it is recommended that children should have an eye examination before their 1st birthday or at least by the age of 3, or earlier if you think there may be a problem. Special tests have been devised for very young children and the earlier a problem is detected, the more effectively it can be treated. All eye tests in Scotland are free and in our practice we have all the specialised equipment required to examine your child's eyes thoroughly. Pop in or call for a warm professional and friendly chat about your child's eye sight and how we can help.
