Picture House feedback wanted

Administra­tors at Campbeltow­n Picture House (CPH) want to reel in customers’ views. The survey is at: https://www.surveymonk­ey.co.uk/r/VFXSZWJ A post on the CPH website states: ‘As part of a few projects in which we’re participat­ing, we’re required to collect feedback from our customers. ‘We’d really appreciate it if you could fill in a feedback form below. ‘It’s anonymous, simple, should take no more than two minutes and you can skip anything you don’t fancy answering.’

MOK Bookfest 2020 meeting

The committee planning a 2020 Campbeltow­n book festival is keen to attract further members. It plans to hold a third meeting at 7pm next Thursday January 17 in the Town Hall Chambers and all are welcome. At the November meeting, a date of spring 2020 and a potential length of two days was agreed but all other festival decisions remain on the table.

MOK Fest finance

A Courier story about Argyll and Bute Council’s strategic tourism funding failed to mention that MOK Fest has been granted £7,920 for 2019. The grant was part of a total of £113,000 awarded to 12 events and festivals which are seen as helping to boost tourism. In May last year Creative Scotland’s open project fund granted MOK Fest £10,000 for the 2018 programme.

Darts results

Gavin McLachlan hit two 180s for the Burnside and Jamie McGougan hit 180 and had a 101 finish for Kilbrannan A in the latest results from Campbeltow­n District Darts Associatio­n. Scott Shields had a score of 171 for Ailsa A, Kenny Docherty had a finish of 120 for the Burnside, Jimmy Umpherston 109 for Kinloch A and Matthew Connely had a 100 finish for Kilbrannan A. Results: Fiddlers 2 Burnside 6, Ailsa A 4 Kilbrannan C 4, Kinloch A 5 Kinloch B 3, Kilbrannan A 7 Ailsa B 1.
