Young Pupils teams take on Oban Saints

The Campbeltown Pupils 2007s (under 15s) travelled to Oban on Sunday to play in their second game this season.
The Kintyre side took an early goal not long after getting onto the pitch, and shortly after, was awarded a penalty that was successfully placed into the net by the captain.
The team slowly took the pace down and before long the Oban side were level at 2-2.
The Pupils picked it up just before the first-half whistle and went into the break with a 3-2 lead.
The coaches didn't have to say much as the team realised what needed to be done – half simple football and half belief.
They executed all of that perfectly in the second half and the final score was 7-3 to the Campbeltown side.
Coach Rhys Blair said: ‘The Pupils displayed great team play, commitment, confidence in each other and most of all sportsmanship.
‘Both teams played extremely well and put on a great performance for all that took the time to watch.'
U13s battle to exciting draw

The Campbeltown Pupils 2009s (under 13s) team also travelled to Oban last Sunday and came from behind twice to gain a thrilling 3-3 draw with the Saints.
The home team started brightly, playing some good possession football, and were stopped on several occasions by excellent defending from Campbell, however, the breakthrough goal came when an excellent in-swinging evaded everyone and ended up going in at the back post to give Saints a deserved lead.
Oban soon doubled their advantage with a tidy finish past Myles in the Pupils goal.
The young Pupils side, playing their first competitive away fixture, were given a lifeline before half-time when a through-ball from Prentice saw Green sprint through and fire into the net.
Out for the second half and the Pupils were immediately on the front foot, and were soon deservedly level when good play by Cunningham and Judge saw the latter release Johnston, who, after outpacing the defence, calmly picked his spot into the corner for the equaliser.
The game could have gone either way at this point, and it looked as if Saints might have taken three points when they scored their third after another clinical finish.
Battle
The Pupils continued to battle, and were given their reward when Johnston's corner found Judge, who reacted quickly to score with a header after his initial volley had been well saved.
The Pupils could have nicked it in the last few minutes with well-struck free kicks by Johnston and another good strike from Green which were brilliantly kept out by the home 'keeper.
In the end, a draw was probably the fair result in what was an excellent advert for youth football.
