ACHA launches assistance fund

-

In light of the challenging times in which its tenants are living, Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA)’s board of management has approved a £40,000 assistance fund.

This is to assist any tenant experiencing vulnerability in financial terms between January and March 2022.

ACHA’s welfare rights staff and other colleagues are actively supporting tenants through a variety of other initiatives at the moment; this additional initiative is designed to assist those who may not have qualified for other assistance, or have particularly challenging needs at the present time.

‘We live in very challenging times with substantial increases in fuel, food, clothing and other costs,’ said Alastair MacGregor, ACHA’s chief executive.

‘As a landlord and a charity, ACHA’s board has taken this particular initiative to ensure this additional funding is available to help the most vulnerable.

‘We hope it will allow a number of our tenants to improve their household income over the next few months.’
