Ladies brave weather in February medal bid

On a diminished field of players, due mostly to an unsettled weather forecast, four hardy ladies took to the course to compete for Dunaverty Golf Club’s February medal.

Although the day was relatively mild for the time of year, grey overcast skies, a fresh breeze and the threat of showers made for challenging conditions at times.

Katharine Hardman, in the first pair out, set the pace and carded a score of 72 (+7).

However, Inez Ronald, in the second pair, seemed to be at ease with the blustery conditions and came home with a winning score of 64 (-1).

Results: 1 Inez Ronald 64 (-1), 2 Katharine Hardman 72 (+7), 3 Lorna Cook 82 (17).
