Big hitter cleans up at Dunaverty’s Golf Club’s April Medal
Dunaverty Golf Club’s gents played their April Medal recently, with a strong field of 25 competitors.
With four players returning a nett 66, followed by four players on nett 67, the early pace was set by Jim Warren.
Only two groups later, Raymond Harvey equalled Jim and took control with a better last six holes, a lead that was to remain despite a further 18 players trying to improve on it.
Having not played much in the past six months, it was a welcome return to form for Raymond and a great start to the summer season.
‘Thanks go to Jonathan Barbour and Campbell MacBrayne for turning out the course in excellent condition,’ said a club spokesperson.
Result: 1 Raymond Harvey 83-17=66, best last six; 2 Don Hardman 77-11=66 bih; 3 Jim Warren 80-14=66, best last three; 4 John Docherty 72-6=66.
