Church’s spring fundraiser to support Ukraine

-

Southend Parish Church’s first coffee morning since the beginning of the pandemic will be held tomorrow (Saturday) to raise funds to support the people of Ukraine.

The church traditionally holds a springtime coffee morning to raise money for its own funds.

This year, however, all proceeds from the St Blann’s Hall event will go towards supporting people affected by the war in Ukraine.

These funds will be distributed directly by the Church of Scotland, via the Reformed Church of Ukraine, and there will be no deductions for administration.

Admission to the coffee morning, which begins at 10am, is by donation. There will be refreshments, stalls and children’s activities, including egg decorating and an Easter egg hunt in the manse garden.

‘Everyone is welcome,’ said Reverend Steve Fulcher, ‘so please come and support us and the people in the Ukraine.’
