Youth group organises coffee afternoon

-

Kind-hearted members of the Kintyre Youth Action Group organised and hosted a fundraiser for those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Supported by the Kintyre Community Learning Team, the youngsters held a coffee afternoon in Tarbert Village Hall last Wednesday (April 6).

Thanks to donations from members of the community, the youngsters provided tea, coffee, biscuits and home baking, and hosted a prize raffle, a bric-a-brac stall and provided arts and crafts to entertain the younger clientele.

In collaboration with Tarbert Soup Kitchen, the team raised an amazing £582.77 which will be donated to those directly affected by the Ukrainian crisis. The Kintyre Youth Action Group is a team of young people from across the area aged between 11 and 18, who are passionate about youth voice, youth action and making a positive impact in their community and this was a cause they were very keen to support.

Anyone interested in joining the group is invited to contact their Facebook page.
