Off-duty senior Pupils leapfrog league rivals
Campbeltown Pupils climbed the West of Scotland Football League Division Four table last Saturday without kicking a ball.
The McFadyens Contractorssponsored Pupils' players and staff might have their feet up on Saturday afternoons after a long season of competitive action – save for a few taking on the MOKRun 10K or half-marathon races in May – but their season ended on a further high after usurping sixth-placed side BSC Glasgow.
The Broomhill-based team suffered a 4-0 Glasgow derby defeat to Govan cracks Harmony Row in their final fixture of the season.
It meant the Pupils finished sixth out of eight teams, with 23 points from 28 games played, and three more outings in cup competitions, representing an unusually busy season for the former amateur outfit.
