Well-deserved accolades

Congratulations to George McMillan OBE and Emily Bennie, well-deserved winners of the Rotary Club of Campbeltown’s Citizen of the Year and Young Musician of the Year Awards.

Another award, the Freedom of Argyll and Bute, went to Patrick Stewart. This symbolic honour is rarely bestowed – only four times by the current Argyll and Bute Council – which indicates how much Mr Stewart deserves it. Mr McMillan and Mr Stewart have done so much over the years that it would be impossible to include it all in one article and we’re sure Emily will continue to add to her achievements for many years to come.
