Bill Brannigan

Speaking of long lists of achievements, Bill Brannigan springs to mind.

Bill, who died last week, was the Courier’s Dunaverty Golf Club correspondent for many years.

While Bill was instrumental in helping us record the achievements of the club’s players, he had many of his own, not just in golf but in many sports, particularly athletics. He remains the current Northern Ireland over 40 marathon record holder with a time of two hours, 23 minutes and 29 seconds.

Everyone at the Campbeltown Courier is thinking of Bill’s wife Linda and family at this time.
