Students’ artistic talent showcased
Campbeltown Grammar School is opening its doors this month to showcase the creative talent of its Advanced Higher art students.
The school's art department is inviting parents, carers and members of the community with an interest in art to attend an exhibition of pupils’ work from the 2021-22 academic year.
‘This year we have six talented pupils who work in a variety of styles and media who are seeking to gain their Advanced Higher qualification,’ said depute headteacher Betsy Campbell.
‘The exhibition will predominantly be portraiture, however, we have one pupil who focusses on wildlife and one on still life as well.
‘Come along and see the spectrum of talent at Campbeltown Grammar School – cheese and wine will be provided.
‘Small donations will be gratefully received.’ The exhibition will take place in the main atrium of the school on Thursday May 19 at 6pm.
The young artists are Drew Cunningham, Jennifer McMurchy, Heather McAllister, Emma Matthew, Isla Campbell and Anna Gemmill.
The school has kindly shared a selection of their work with the Courier.
