Caledonian Marts Limited, Stirling, Thursday May 5,
sold 128 cattle comprising of 68 bullocks, heifers and young bulls and 60 OTM cattle. Prime heifers sold to 300ppkg for a Limousin from J Burnett & Sons, Upper Spittalton, and to £1,709 for a Blonde D’Aquitaine from J Caldwell & Sons, Moorfield. Prime bullocks sold to 298ppkg for a Limousin from AA & J Brand, Nethermyres, purchased by T Johnston, Butchers, Falkirk, and to £1,901 for the same beast. Bulls under 30 months sold to 250ppkg for a Limousin from F C Eccles, Bruckley, and to £1,540 for a Limousin from Oatfield, Campbeltown.

Cast males sold to a new centre record at The Cally from A & I Dick, Kipperoch, for a British Blue Bull selling for £2520.
