Triples battle it out for Edith McFadyen trophy

Eight teams in two groups took to Argyll Bowling Club’s green at midday last Sunday to compete for the Edith McFadyen Triples title.

The final was played by the highest scoring team from each section.

It was a close final, six shots to five, but the winners were Stephen Gorman, Kenny Kerr jnr and skip John McLatchie.

The runners up were Kevin Stone, JD McCallum and their skipper Kenny Kerr snr.

‘Congratula­tions to the winners and thanks to all teams taking part and making for a good competitio­n,’ said a club spokespers­on.

‘Special thanks to Charles McFadyen and McFadyens Transport Ltd for sponsoring the competitio­n, our greenkeepe­r for preparing the green and members who helped with the bar and the kitchen.’
