Free afternoon tea to celebrate Jubilee

Campbeltown’s pensioners are being invited to enjoy an afternoon tea at home, courtesy of Campbeltown Community Council, in honour of The Queen’s platinum jubilee.

Free tickets are available from Shopper-Aide and Keeping It Local. The ticket has a tear-off slip which must be returned to Keeping It Local by Friday May 28.

Afternoon tea boxes can be collected from Campbeltown Town Hall on Jubilee Day, Thursday June 2, between 11am and 1pm, or they can be delivered to a Campbeltown address, if no other help is available. Helen Gilchrist is providing a royal-themed quiz, which will be included. ‘As this is open to all OAPs in Campbeltown, we expect a big demand, so get your tickets as soon as possible,’ said a community council spokesperson.
