West Backs Farm’s Holstein herd judged Kintyre’s best

The West Backs Farm herd picked up the prize for best overall at Kintyre Holstein Breeders Club’s annual herds competitio­n.

Held over Monday May 9 and Tuesday May 10, Willie Ralston had the difficult job of judging this year’s competitio­n. At the end of the two days, members enjoyed a lovely dinner and prize-giving at Machrihani­sh Golf Club where the results were announced, as follows:

1 Kilkeddan, 2 Trodigal, 3 Coledrain.

1 West Backs, 2 Kilkivan, 3 Drumalea.

1 West Backs, 2nd Kikeddan, 3 Kilkivan.

1 Machrihani­sh, 2 West Backs, 3 Kilkeddan.
